Aistė Bagdonaitė is a ceramic artist specializing in hand-built, organic vases. Originating from Lithuania, she now lives in Copenhagen, Denmark working from a dedicated studio in Islands Brygge.

The work centers on the construction of vases, built exclusively by hand using additive coiling and pinching techniques, allowing the forms to develop organically.
Aistė's work focuses on the clay body itself. Many pieces are raw and unglazed, emphasising the natural texture, color, and materiality of the fired earth.

Aistė's sense of shaping and appreciation of raw natural materials is rooted in her background as an architect educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - an institution celebrated for combining sustainability with artistic practice.

Aistė's work is available at:
The Oblist, Paris, France
